Im going to an auction but in the auction they dont let me see the engine.My question is what honda civics bring vtec (what trim,si,dx,ect)

 

VX,HX,EX,SI. Their not all hatch models but you get the idea.

 

what year though civic are you planning on looking for....but most of the time VTEC comes on ex and si trim....when i say most of the time i forget if the newest EX civics have vtec

 

(92 to 95 hatch)

 

in the hatch body style the VX and the SI came with VTEC....I would look to get a SI if you want any performance

the si is the only one of the bunch that come with rear disk brakes and that have the 10.2" front rotors

HX's werent hatches

 

thats right...sorry bout that

 

out of the 92-95 civics the si is the only one with sohc vtec from factory (d16z6)

wrong..look at a VX and tell me what it says on the valve cover (that is for hatchbacks anyways)

if we are talking about eg civic's in general.....hte HX, VX, EX and SI all came with VTEC

 

No HX for EGs.

To reiterate the correct answers to the question posted: VX and Si. VX has VTEC-E (geared towards fuel economy) while the Si has the 'normal' SOHC VTEC.

 

dangit when am I gonna get this right....I keep on wanting to type HX
