hello honda techs... i'm a newbie looking for suggestions for my car.... initially i was first thinking h22 all motor.... but now i'm thinking h23 75 shot... eventually custom turbo..... the thing that keeps diverting me away from the h22 is the price and labor..... what would you techs suggest??.... and i'm looking to stay smog friendly with the engine... but of course not the f/i.... thanks

 

A turboed H23 done right would be ideal. However, you stated cost as a reason for not doing the H22. I would say that the cost of the H23 plus nitrous is going to be right at the cost of the H22. It all comes down to persoanl preference. Both are excellent setups, and can be done smog friendly.

 

thanks big james for the response.... i remember your car way back since h-a and so forth.... nice to see your car still being done right.... my main concern for right now is swapping out the f22 in favor of the h22 or h23.... the cheapest h22 i've found has been around 2300 plus the cost of installation would be a b*tch.... i've heard of h23 listed at 500... and all you mainly need is the engine and power steering pump... although the h22 would be jdm... which is of concern to me... thats why i'm leaning toward the h23 or even jdm f22 as long as its an accord engine.... but one thing i'm worried about is putting tons of money into the h22 and end up wanting to turn to forced induction anyway.... but yea... thanks for the input.....

 

i would say h22, just if you want an opinion
