Default 88 Rear Shock Help, Koni Yellows.

I got my two Rear Koni Yellows out but one gave me a hard time and the damper mounting bolt is stuck inside the damper mounting bushing which connects the shock to the LCA, due to me having to cut the bolt to get it off. The piece looks something like this

I've looked around the Koni site and have not found a replacement for the Koni Yellow damper mounting bushing. However I did find "Shock Mounting Kits" online at the advance auto parts store. They are of course probably for the stock shocks but when i looked and compared the koni and the stock one, the size of that bushing is damn close.

So the question is can i use a stock replacement bushing in the Koni Yellow? And if so do i have to press it out? Its probably not possible without a hydrolic press?

These are the two parts that i found online im not sure which one is better. Has anyone had to do this before? Are the Koni and stock bushings the same size and interchangeable? I was thinking about buying new shocks but i just bought these koni's a little over a year ago they probably only have 5-6k miles on them, so there basically still brand new.

PART #2 - http://www.partsamerica.com/Pa...Set=A

Which one of the parts do you think will do the job better?

Thanks for the help

I don't see how it could get stuck in there? There are no threads on the bushing. You should be able to hammer it out. If anything it would get stripped and stuck on the lca.

Same thing happened to me.. 90% of the time don't expect to re-use the old bushings in those control arms man.

We had to melt the rubber bushing and use an impact gun jsut to break the bolt on mine free. In my case I had new control arms with enw bushings afterwards.

Trust me its ****** stuck in there...and i dont know how it is either, one of the weirdest things ive seen. Right now im drilling it out, in hopes to save it. I've been drilling for about 40 minutes now, and im maybe halfway done if im lucky
