Lost Motion thingy?
Question
Ok, I still have an occasional rattle in my head. After looking at the book for a bit, a friend and I have determined that some of the Vtec pads are not under pressure. If I read the book right, then the lost motion thingy should always keep the vtec lobe on the camshaft in contact with the pad. Which we have found is not the case. Some of the pads and the lobes are not even touching.
Also, how much pressure should it take to push down the lost motion valve?
Does it sound like a rattle when it goes out?
If you know, please call me at
