Default 89 Si tranny in 91 HF

The tranny blew out in the 91 HF. I have an 89 Si wrecked that i can nabb the tranny off of. Does anyone know if it will go right in or is there a difference that won't let it work. As far as i can see, it seems like it will work, i just need to use the HF axle on the pass. side. I dunno, any info? thanks.

to make it work properly you will need to take off the suspension off the wrecked Si. ie. the spindals so the si axles will work because the shaft size is different on the hf the axle and it will be too loose. I would do that anywho just incase you decide to swap later you will be ready this way. Thats what I had to do on my crx hf swap.

you can bolt the 89 Si transmission right in using your HF axles - the transmission end of the axles is the same on all 88-91 CRX/Civics - the hub end is what is smaller on the CRX HF and Civic STD
