Mine makes a little whine sometimes, just for a second, when opening the throttle (part throttle) at low revs. Sounds like a little 'squeak'.

My leakdown test reported a tiny bit of leakage into the intake on 2 & 4. I can't remember it doing this when I first got it. Is this normal?

I'm thinking it's time to readjust the valves (been 10K since last done), or possibly that I could have some kind of head problem that's contributing to my oil consumption.

Mine's done it ever since I've owned it. I have a couple friends who's cars do the same thing.

 

just about every car with aftermarket intake does it. its no big deal. there has been numerous discussions on it. its like whistling through your mouth, the right amount of air is being sucked in at that moment thats why it whistles.

Yeah I threw on my "Autozone Special" Air filter (sold icebox, waiting for new intake) on my stock arm and it whistles......

 

my whistle goes "woo wooooo"...whistles go woooo

 

i have a gsr with skunk 2 intake manifold and a ITR tb. That thing whistles like a biatch, but it comes from the tb. O well

yea its really all in the intake manifold. as soon as i slapped the skunk2 one on it went crazy with the whistling manG!

I never had that whistle with the J's racing intake... AEM yes, Stock Yes....
Now I get the turbo spool sound for some damn reason

same thing happened too me...ever whistled before..installed a skunk2 mani and now the POS whistles?so annoying

 

mine does weeeeeeeeeee from about 2500 rpm to 3000 rpm...it whistles also from a standing start!

Josh...i no longer have the whistle with the J's either. I did certainly have the whistle when i was just using the stock arm with autozone filter!

yours is more from the intake manifold..all my friends who had skunk2 mani's on there gsr motor's had a whistling sound..none of them had a itr tb though

 

mine always whistled becuase of my AEM .It made a weird sound with the turbo too
