Ok I searched and couldn't find anything on this topic... I've got a set of Teggy trailing arms laying around at my house, but I had to cut the brake lines to get them off of the car. So I need to get new brake lines, and I was wondering if its worth buying some expensive 100 dollars a set after market brake lines, or just go with the good ol' Honda OEM.

If you like a certain brake line add it to the list. A place to buy and the price would be nice to. ^_^

 

just get honda and wrap them in zip ties.. ghetto but works

 

Depends. Sometimes OEM ones are just as expensive as aftermarket stainless braided lines. The stainless ones are better, less expansion.

 

are you talking about brake lines or E-brake lines? big difference you know!

After market brake lines are much nicer than the OEM ones. I just did a 5 lug conversion on my hatch and I put on some new SS brake lines. the car brakes like a champ. I installed new pads (Cobalt GT Sport) new SS lines (GoodRige) and new fluid (ATE Super Blue). If you are going to do something you might as well do it right, ehh?

I have never heard of aftermarket E-brake lines and can not fathem any reason why they would be made?

SS brakelines is a sure go if you concern about stopping power.

I have heard Goodridge is not good at all? i dont know, most friends using Earls and im using APP

definetly it does help with stopping power

The Goodridge lines seem alright, I only got them because i needed some real quickly and I was able to trade someone local for them. I have another set of lines that i bought from someone else on the board, I beleive his name was (G speed), they are much nicer. They have an outer coating over the Steal braid to protect from dirt and **** getting in there, they also have beefier fittings than the Goodridge. I plan on putting these ones on next time I pull some stuff apart and am ready to re-bleed the brakes. i would have put them on origianlly but they lagged on me and i needed my car back together.
