b16 tranny problems...

third gear is getting kinda shitty for me and i was wondering whether it would be cheaper to get the synchros repaired or just get a whole new tranny. any suggestions?

If you do it yourself, I can't see why it would be cheaper to buy a new one that might also have problems.
