Default Trip down memory lane with my Crx's and engine shots..

Just thought I'd take a trip down memory lane with all the engines I've had In all my crx's I've had. I was bored today looking through all my pics of my cars and stuff.

Starting off with this one.

This was my first crx and I never took a engine shot, probably because I was in high school and never could afford a camara. It was a 88 Hf with a D16a6. Basic bolt on's I/H/E Port & Polished head and a pretty good size cam. It was later on jacked and burnt to the ground..

Next Came my 89 Red SI (1)

Sporting a d16a6 with Intake, wohoo..

Wooo, then a big ZC swap.. lol

First turbo setup I ever did, haha.. blew up in a day, I was quite crafty with the charge pipe.

I ended up selling that turbokit, then making another turbo kit and put the d16a6 back in and boost that.

Shortly after the car was stolen and it was never the same after I got it back so I sold it.

This was my 90dx that came already equipped with a ZC.

Made another HMT kit and installed it.. Blew it up in a few weeks.

After I gernaded the ZC I put in a D15.

Then we went mini-me D15

Then put in my Fully Built ZC with my Race turbo setup. Then I sold everything and parted the ****** out.

Rolling the big baller wheels 18's bling bling. This car sat for a good year before I did anything with it. Then it finally sold locally.

Now to my current car, yet another 89 Crx SI (red). I got such a good deal on this I couldnt pass it up.

Stock A6 ready for some boost!

Another Mini-me, this one was a A6-Mini and 2 different turbo setups, 1 TD04 setup and a 14b TD05 setup.

This is where everything changed Finally went B-series sporting a LS/Vtec

Later on turned into a Turbo Ls/Vtec

Blew up the LS/vtec and switched to a B20 Crvtec and changed the turbo setup around.

Blew up the Crvtec and installed a B18a LS, rolled it NA for awhile.

Sold the LS and Put in a B16a with Individual Throttle bodies.

Kept the B16a head from the B16a and aquired a B18a bottom end and made a Twin turbo setup for it.

Sold the engine, but still have the turbo setup (which is currently for sale)

Right now my car has no engine and is just sitting dead in my garage. I still need some more go fast parts to finish up my built ls/vtec and I just bought a boat so I'm not going to get this finished until probably winter time.

As far as all my turbo ****, like my 62-1 Turbo, Tial 40mm WG which is just sitting here, its going on my Girlfriends H22 Hatch, hopefully going to get that ready in the next few weeks.

Lots of people keep asking me what I got and what I'm doing and ****, so there ya have it..

Jeff

Eh, span in over 6 years or so.

Keep in mind I push every engine I own to the max, the earlier engines blew up because I was just being stupid and didnt know how to tune really. I really didnt give a **** about the D's blowing up, but the ls and crvtec blowing up kinda sucked, running 14psi and racing at every single drag event along with street racing every weekend doesnt help either.

Theres a few engines that survived

I started to get the feeling that the next sentence after each picture started with "I finally blew it up and went...."

I'm driving my girlfriends fully built h22 EK hatch right now, I'm going to put the turbo kit on it next week and my goals are 350whp street and 450whp track car. So even though I really miss driving my crx, this will hold me over

Haha Jeff, that surgery must really be getting to you. You're now post whoring Honda-Tech with your lame-o show off posts....

Just Kidding... It's all awesome. Seeing the **** you did with CRX's on Home Made Turbo back in my Mazda driving days converted me to loving Honda's and CRX's in particular; so I can definately say that you have changed my life. (Emotional yes I know). I'm glad to have been able to see some of them in action, including the glorious cracking of the b20 sleeves when you were racing the R6. Most of all I'd say it was an honor getting to show off with you (even though I lost to you both times) down at the street races that night when there was nothing out there, and your ITB trailer park b16 CRX and my LS/VTEC CRX were the only things worth racing. Thanks for everythnig, and who knows someday I might actually have enough money for you to work on my car

And may those poor cars someday walk key in hand with new owners once again. And not into Abaz engine blowing hands! Ha, jk man, your technical knowledge seems far beyond your years. Great collection, may we all hope to someday aspire to be in such abundant resources which would lead us to own as many great engines/cars as you mighty one. Ha, peace. - Darrell

Damn man...i hope my life turns out something like that. I blew my first D16a6 a few motnhs back and my car is STILL sitting in my front yard (apartments) waiting for a new engine. Hopefully i can find a DOHC ZC and drop that in it being my very first engine swap. Than after i either blow that up or i get tired of it i plan on getting a B16b and trying out that vtec thing everyone is raving about. Then when that gets boring i want to get a supercharger instead of a turbo for reasons explained in your long story. Either way nice Rexs.

I had a question, are you the guy from http://www.homemadeturbo.com ??? I remember those pics of something like them at least the twin turbo ZC.
