Default How much "play" should the throttle cable have?

I just wanted to know how much "play" the throttle cable should have? When I press mine down, not too hard to pull it, but just slightly push it down, then pull it up there is at least 1" of movement... i dont know if that is right or if there should be less? Please let me know if i should adjust this.
Thanks

i keep mine as tight as it can be without moving the throttle plate. supposed to keep throttle response higher :shrugs:

open the hood. and adjust the throttle cable near the intake manifold so the tension on the cable isnt too loose or too tight.

make sure that the butterfly is fully closed with no throttle being applied.

the bracket on the intake manifold the throttle cable should have 2 nuts that you can turn or loosen to adjust the tension.

About 10mm of slack in the cable is recomended by Honda.

I adjusted it earlier when i was installing this earthing kit i made... between the earthing kit and adjusting the cable my throttle response seems so much better, very smooth now.. anyways im happy with how 20 bucks and a couple hours can make your car seem much better

It's always nice to be able to narrow down a problem and repair it for cheap.
