XM radio's "CH" and "CATEGORY" options from long DISPLAY keypress
I have a 2004 Accord with built-in XM Radio. There is a small reverse-video icon that says CH above the main text. If I hold the DISPLAY button down for several seconds, it turns to a small reverse-video icon that says CATEGORY.
This seems to have no effect on the category/seek nor channel/tune buttons, and it doesnt' seem to have any effect on what's displayed, either.
This function is also not mentioned in the owner's manual. Does anyone know what the deal with it is?
Thanks.
Edit: Answering my own question from 18+ years ago: In CH mode, switching channels forward and backward allows you to scan through all channels. In CATEGORY mode, it will loop within the category, e.g. ROCK or CLASSICAL, and you have to use the category buttons to switch categories.
