Default Prospeed header installed *pics

At first it didnt fit, had it reworked by brian at prospeed in 1 day. It now clears the crossmember just enough to be safe. I know many of you want this header, so here are some pics of the finished installation.

It is stainless

initially we removed the radiator because i was having head work done and all fluids were drained anyway. We also dropped the cross member to have the installation go smoothly without having to bang it around to much.

Looks damn good

might want to put some kind of heat shield/wrap around your
ac lines though, my dc header burned a whole through mine

Does that hookup to a cat correctly or not? Can't tell from pic. I thought I remembered seeing a Prospeed header that dumped off to the side of the car directly

Prospeed also offers a race header which is side exit. I do not believe it will bolt to a stock cat because of the flanging issue and the fact that the factory piping is smaller than the 2.5 merge collector. My car is catless now, with a big *** 18 inch 4 in round magnaflow resonator. sounds beeefy

i will be on the dyno with my whole new setup on monday or tuesday. The cross member has to be notched i believe for a 4th gen, unless you meet with brian and discuss clearence im sure he could change it to the application as it is a custom header.

i remeber reading that one of the headers would cause you to lean out real bad, i think it was the smsp(?). any known issues like that with this header??

prospeed is the header that makes you run lean if I recall.

my prospeed leaned the **** out of my car.

james, email me pics of where it connects from the down pipe to the "resonator" and around the oil pan area. what did you do special to get the damn header nuts on? there are two that i just cannot get ahold of enough to tighten on. maybe im just impatient though lol.

i never had to take the rad out, just the fans.

cant wait to see the numbers man!

any high performace header is going to lean you out pretty bad. Thats why it is always recommend to retune after you alter any part that changes the flow of the motor. i have a fpr and its set properly until i get tuned, so no worries.

here we are, took me few mins

header to the flexpipe

flexpipe (a little dark sorry)

big *** magnaflow resonator and apexi N1 resonator behind it, lol

its hard to take good exhuast pics when your car in about 3 - 4 inches off the ground. if i have it up on a rack soon, like next week, ill possibly take more if someone wants them.

Looks really nice --- what about the header welded straight to the exhaust won't that cause a problem, the header will now have the weight of the full exhaust ? Dont get me wrong it's very nice just a thought.

I also wanted to add -

Any AN-R / Prospeed / Elite / Eric's Racing ( not in any order ) can be tested at our dyno shop against your current header at half of our normal price. This means you bring your car to the shop with the new header READY TO BOLT up and we will give you half off the normal dyno charge and give you time to bolt the new header on -----
