The subject pretty much sums it up. Which ones are you supposed to use??

i have a set of cam gears on my ZC. i ahve AEm cam gears for the Bseries motors...part number is 23-602B.

 

well, i HAD a set of hayame b16 cam gears but they set my timing back by a full tooth... made me fail emisisons and bogged the **** out of my car. with stock cam gears i'm doing way better, but then again i'm jus waiting for my HKS ZC cam gears to come in from japan.

 

Hks and JUN makes zc cam gears, i bought the JUN for my zc, they are well worth the $.

 

Can I just use the B-series cam gears? Or should I use specific ZC cam gears?

 

the b series work fine. that is te exact part number on the ones that i have.

 

...the only thing w/ the b series gears is that they stick out from under the belt a bit....if that really bothers you, you can take em to a machine shop and get a bit milled off the back.

 

Will they still fit on the cover?

 

hmm i never got mine milled and they don't stick out. on the motor side of the gear it sits flush with the belt., also never had any problems with them rubbing on the timing belt cover. they fit fone under there.

 

Thanks for the info guys. So basically just get any of the B-series cam gears and slap them on. Or also use the ones that 91efzc has.

i don't know for sure of "all" B series gears will fit. i just know the Aem ones fit.
