Has anyone ever made a replacement sunroof for the CRX out of Aluminum??

Anyone ever thought of this before??

When I say sunroof, I mean an actual replacement skin. With that noone has to worry about rust ever and you can polish it or paint it to your liking.

If anyone have time and a welder that wants to do this let me know, I am interested in this.

 

why would you do that , you cant weld aluminum too steel , just make a steel plate and weld that one in , you could pop rivet the aluminum one and seel it with silcone on the inside

I am not asking to weld the sunroof shut. I was asking for an actual replacement skin.

I seen the CF ones already just would like to know if someone made an Aluminum one.

you probly could just cut out the same design and drill the mounting holes if you wanted i guess.. just get a carbon fiber one

 

i made one for a guy back in 97 and i welded tabs to the inner then used allen head screws to mount it. i used foam seal tape on the inner edge to seal it! also it wasent a street car so it didnt have to be water proof.
