Default K20 oil pan questions and dry sump....

I have been thinking about doing a DC5R swap in my Del Sol but here is my question / idea

I have heard (never seen up close) that the oil pan hangs really low on a k20 swap in an EG chassis...I already have problems with my header hitting and I don't want to have problems with oil pans hitting. How would I go about doing a dry sump setup on a K20 to alleviate some of the clearance issues. Would I have to do any custom machining.....what all does a dry sump setup entail doing.

I think this would be a very very good thing to do and it might even make the engine more reliable.

tell me what you think and if you have any dry sump experience please help me out on figuring out how to do this...I have all of the recources to do this setup available to me because I am going to an automotive school

please contribute accordingly and please help me keep this thread as short as possible

also, is there a manufacturer that makes an external oil pump for the K20 yet?

that and would I be allowed to use a dry sump setup in any type of HC racing or NASA event?
