I wouldn't go high than 16's. But the Big advantage is Handling. with a larger Rim You Can keep the same overall size tire But have less Sidewall. When you have less sidewall youre car tends to feel Tighter on the road. You have less Sidewall role, thus more Feeling.
Also Its the cool thing to do Thats Reason enuff right there.

a thinner side wall also means a rougher ride, be prepared.

your bolt pattern is 4x100 and for a 16" wheel you'll want a 205-40r16 tire.

pros: can look cool, can improve cornering ability, can fit bigger brakes.

cons: bigger rims are usually heavier - so car will feel more sluggish unless you are getting VERY VERY light rims (15 lbs or less), bigger can sometimes look overdone on a small car, bigger costs more for both wheels and tires, if you DONT upgrade your brakes, they will look silly beneath huge wheels (especially a rear drum).

a 15-16 would be good. i think for racing apps (like autocross) ... the biggest anyone ever goes is 15x7. but maybe thats not what you want to do.
EDIT: when i say "the biggest anyone ever goes" - i mean honda guys that actually win national championships. those are the only guys that matter to me

cool ...

I thought it has something to do with speed as well, but bigger brakes is surely a great advantage, cornering is nice, too.

Too bad I just changed the tires and breaks on my 14" stock alloys. On another hand I can keep as spare ...

or just get a nice ZR rated performance tire on your 14"s and i am sure it would handle fine and not be as rough as the bigger ones, but if you want the look of filling the wheel well a little more, i guess the slighlty rougher ride is worth the trade

i think 15's look good and are'nt too big, i am going to get some sometime soon, tired of lookin at my 90si teardrop wheels for 8 years, i need a change
