Default would it work ?

I had an idea last nite when i was driving home, maybe i can put a tac in the left side of the vent , only thing i would have to do is crave a little bit. Oh yeah my car is a 4th gen hb. let me know what yal thing. pics would be good if somone already did it!

He said put the tach IN the left side of the vent....which I guess he means the vent on the driver side of the dashboard?

That'd be stupid because you couldn't see it.

Unless you're talking about the Shift Light in which case it's a great idea.

The light isn't that visible at all until it's lit up [the flash on the camera makes it stand out much more than it does in person...most people don't know it's there], doesn't block A/C airflow, and works perfect!

if it was me and i wanted a tach, id do it super clean and get a crx si cluster.

But if you want acuracy you need a aftermarket tach.
On my drag car I am making my own "cluster" with a 3 inch tach and some other gagues that will sit in the factory bezel.

I like how you did that but only thing would be how do you run the wiring. and did you cut the vent.

do you want them the same as on the pics he posted? lol..

i was approach about making some sort of pod to replace the middle vents .. i think that would be my next CF project for the EFs..

yeah i do want them mounted like that, i dont wanna draw anykind of the wrong attention if i dont have to. and thats a good "sleeper" style and i can still make out the gauges just from the pic so i dont think i would have a problem seein them in person
