I got pulled last night by a cop for my exhaust being to loud it looks stock but its not its a Borla does anybody know of any other exhaust systems besides greddy that sell quiet peformance mufflers for a 88-91 civic or crx any websites or advice would be appreciated, I can either pay it off or i can go to court on 9-20-04 I would rather get a new muffler and tell them I had it replaced so that way the cops will stop herasing me.

i am in the same situation and i am replacing my n1 with a dynomax super turbo, should be a lot quieter and cleaner sounding.

i've also heard that apexi world sport is supposed to be pretty quiet

 

add a resonator to your piping that should quiet it down a lot

 

did u get ur exhaust tested for sound dB to see if it was legal?

This would have been a better reply for an idiot like you.

I would suggest you get the DB checked also unless you know for sure it is way too loud. I had the Dynomax Super Turbo muffler kit on my 1990 CRX Si that I used to have, It is not to loud and sounds great.

 

I recommend a Cherry Bomb after the cat.

You'll be amazed at how much it quiets the exhaust notes down.

It's only $20 bux + installation of cause.

 

OK you live In the 757. Hell Really All of Va its like this. Its all Illegal. If its not stock you can get pulled for it. So basically youre fucked. I had a cop Pull me over and try and tell me i had Altered Suspension. I dont Even have a Drop. But You cant argue With the Beach cops so. I let it go and he did the same for me. You should know by now Everything is illegal in VA Hell and Hampton roads is the worst Stupid tourist trap.

 

I would most definatly have is db tested. I'm from pa. and your exhaust can be loud. I went down to visit a friend and he had a greddy cat back (not sure what kind) and he said that he gets harassed by the cops. I could barely hear it. Even when he did mash on the gas, he also had a turbo fed b18, so that might have something to do with it.

the turbo would make the exhaust more quiet. Quietest exhuast on the market is RSR.

Ihave the dynomax super turbo on my car now. It hella deep and sounds really good. My setup is 2.25" catback with 18" resonator and a dynomax super tubro. However, on highway...it give me a headache.....cabin sound is BAD. . Im thinking about getting an es oval....hopefully soon
