TPS Sensor Issue
Okay
My H22 is throwing a code 7 in my Civic.
I searched and found stuff about the volts that it should be giving off. Once I found this information, I tested the TPS Sensor.
Now that I tested I am getting 12 volts at both closed and wot (wide open throttle). I tried with the key in the off and on position. The car wasn't running when I tested this.
For your reference, I used the red/blue wire for output and green for ground.
Can anyone please fill me in with ideas, suggestions, links? Anything. Thanks.

http://www.integra.orcon.net.nz/tps here you go buddy
EDIT sorry if that isnt what you were looking for...Its a link i found along time ago about the tps...thought maybe you could use it.

try it with the engine running, measure the voltage reading while opening and closing the throttle....it should vary from low voltage to high or the other way around(i forgot the specs of it) if there is no change, try to find another tps and see if any difference comes about. HTH

That is WAY to much voltage. You need .5v at closed and 4.5 at open. The middle wire should be the correct wire to measure it from. One of the three wires should be close to that voltage (.5,4.5)
The sensor look damaged at all?
If the sensor is bad, you can use your D-series one (if you still have it).

are you sure that you got the right connector on that sensor, when we did the swap on my boys eg h22 we had a couple codes most honda connectors are the same so you might have the wrong connector at this sensor or the tps is clocked wrong take it off and check it out. like said before 12V is way to much you should have only .5 closed and 4.5 wot.
Yea I am sure it is the right connector because the colors match what people say to check. Red/blue and grn/white. I know 12 volts is too much but why is it reading that woth a stock sensor that has never been touched? Tried another H22 throttle body and read the same voltage. I am using a multimeter from Wal-Mart some cheap one. Even with the other throttle body I am throwing the same code and getting the same voltage. What the hell is going on here? this sucks
Just tested D11 blk/red at the ECU and it was reading 0v with the key on but the engine off. The sensor was still reading 12v. Whats going on?

DX (EG) have the map on the firewall, so it is actually on the chaasis harness not the engine harness. If he did switch those plugs, it would be throw both MAP and TPS as a CEL. Not saying that is not the problem, but it is a low risk thing.
Check the wire for breaks/cuts and switch the ECU and see what happens.

I've tried both the P13 and P06 ECUs, same issue. I wish it was just a ECU problem, but Ill try a P28 tonight hopefully.

oops thinking about mine
Roti....where you getting all these ECU's
....just go to pete's shop and get it over with...you know you want to
