I'm considering selling the R, with all these thefts happening, rising insurance costs and damn Canadian Winters!!

What would be a good asking price for a 2K PY with about 21,000 kms with a whole bunch of extra parts(winters AEM etc)? I currently am thinking of letting it go for about $28K canadian or about $18K US.

You're selling it because of theft?

If they take it, just let 'em take the car. You'll get the money you need for a new car if that ever happens. It's silly to let it go 'cuz of theft... but then again, you have a PY. $18k sounds on the low end for '01 w/ ~20k miles.

 

Actually, it's a '00, since PY's only came out in Canada in '00. Also, it has 21K kms much less in miles.

 

$18k seems very low to me. Typical asking price is about $22k in the US with those miles. Hell, 1997s often go for $18k.

 

Selling a Canadian ITR in Canada is so stupid. Sell to the US and make back all the money you spent.

if you sell for 18K, you'd be ripping yourself off. How about I buy it for 18K and then I'll sell it for 21K and make 3K for myself.

 

I'll sell it to you for $19K! You pick it up and sell it for 21K in the US.

Quite honestly, I just can't be bothered to get a better price. I've been looking at some ad's over the last few weeks in Toronto and Vancouver, and most of the 99-00 CW R's with about 30K kms or so are going for between $26 - $29K CAD. So, I am just going with that market.

If anyone on this board is interested in the R(I will post up in classifieds too) then as long as they pick up the car, I'll sell it for $18-19KUSD.

u guys say the itr is worth 21-22k..but in truth he will even have a hard time selling it at 18k u.s. why dont you try selling a type r for 21-22k like the other 20-30 ppl that are doing it also....no one will bite.

 

People sell the 97-98 CW ITRs for around $18K USD. You should have no problem getting $20K.

Hope you get your car fixed and back on the road soon. Unfortunately, I am afraid the frame's never gonna be the same( I had a similar accident as yours with my 95 Integra!)

I hate to get all competitive with everyone else selling their R's, but honestly $18.5 is all I need to pay off the bank(which is my biggest headache).
