Oh my...now my company is getting into NASCAR.
This came across the company email. Yeah, seems to be for a good cause, but funny nonetheless. Names have been x'd to protect the innocent.

Now’s Your Chance to Participate in NASCAR Day…
We are pleased to announce our company’s participation in the inaugural NASCAR Day, Friday, August 20th! We are joining thousands of race fans across the nation as we celebrate the spirit of the sport while raising money for the Victory Junction Gang Camp, a designated Proud Charity of NASCAR.
Victory Junction Gang Camp was founded by Kyle and Pattie Petty in memory of their son, Adam. Their mission is to enrich the lives of children with chronic or life-threatening illnesses by providing them with exclusive, memorable camping experiences.
NASCAR Day is a brand new concept…it’s a one-day celebration of the sport that captures the enthusiasm of racing fans around the world while helping children in need.
Your participation is purely optional and could not be easier. In exchange for your minimum $5 donation to Victory Junction Gang Camp, you will have the opportunity to wear your favorite NASCAR gear to work on Friday, August 20. Anyone making a donation will also receive a one-of-a-kind NASCAR Day lapel pin.
NASCAR Day donation stations will be set-up on Tuesday, August 17th in Corporate, xxxx Plant & R&D cafeterias from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm for associates to make donations and receive their NASCAR lapel pin if they choose to participate.
Roush Racing To Visit Xxxxxx…
As a “thank you” gesture for Xxxxxx’ participation in NASCAR Day, Roush Racing is scheduled to make a special visit to The Xxxxxx Company Headquarters on Tuesday, August 17th. Roush will display two NASCAR show cars in the all-new Justice League paint scheme that will debut at Michigan International Speedway the following weekend. We will be the first fans to see these cars!
Mark Martin’s #6 Ford will be on display in the Corporate associate parking lot in the Batman Justice League paint scheme. In addition, the xxxxx Plant parking lot will have Jeff Burton’s #99 Ford on site in the Justice League Green Lantern paint scheme. Jeff Burton is the driver who ran the paint scheme for five races earlier this season in NASCAR Nextel Cup Series. Feel free to bring your cameras!
A silent auction for various NASCAR merchandise, including parts from Jeff Burton’s #99 Ford, will also be conducted on August 17th to help raise money for the Victory Junction Gang Camp.
