Default H22, what next?

I recently purchased a hatch with an h22a. It already has:

AEM Intake
A'pexi Cat-back
Hondata (untuned)
Skunk2 Stage 2 Cams
Greddy Exhaust Manifold
Port and polished head
5-angle valve job

I plan on getting the Hondata tuned, however after that, I'm not really sure what path I want to take. I've heard bad things about turbos on h22's, however I'm worried that building up the engine (high compression, blah blah blah) will make it too peaky. I autox the car, and street race occassionally, but I'm not really a hardcore drag-racer. My goal is to be able to run w/ C5 vettes (non-Z06) in a straight line. I should add that it's my daily driver also, so reliability is important. Suggestions?

Get an LSD tranny...you'll love it a lot when you auto-x. The serial is M2b4 I believe. Other than that...you didn't mention your suspension. You should work on that aspect of the car also.

If and when you buy an LSD tranny...I'll come pick up yours.

Now, sell it to some desperate kid who wants a Civic and get yourself a 5.0 GT and bolt on a Supercharger. Then, you'll be able to beat a C5, maybe even a Z06 in a straight line and it'll cost MUCH MUCH MUCH less.

It actually did come w/ an LSD tranny. I pretty much have a good idea of what I want to do w/ suspension, which is why I didn't mention it. And I hardly spent any money on it, bought it for just 6k. Not many blown 5.0's for 6k

If you are going to autox that car i would recommend you put a lot of money into your suspension... seeing as how almost all the weight is up front its not an easy car to autox...

I say do what you want... its your car... you dont need honda-tech's approval to do something with your car

Of course I'm going to do what I want with it, I simply asked for suggestions for the power portion. I am planning on working on my suspension. It's just that I'm not terribly familiar with how hondas make power, and I don't want to waste money trying things that don't work.

A simple lesson in how Hondas make power...

TURBO!

Turbo is a good start. How about some cam gears and reducing crank drag by eliminating ps and a/c. Weight is a big issue as well. There are many weight reductions you can do, but seeing as its your daily driver, you'll be limited. Your best bet is going to be using the search function on this board. It's filled with a TON of info and it's all waiting to be used in the archives.
