What are the differences between EG and EF front shock forks?? thanks

AS the title states i am curious of the differences between these two shock forks. are they the same dimensionally with a difference shock bore? please let me know

The bolt bolt up to the LCA.
The shock bore on the EG is larger.
I tried putting a stock EG fork and strut on my car and couldn't get it in there!
EG was too tall to fit. If I had forced it in there I would have had raised the car rather than lowering it. I believe the EG fork was taller, but I can't remember.

yea i am aware that the bore is larger, my primary concern is that the fork is taller (higher) than the ef one??
