Dash display colour
I've heard of someone sending their dash away (from an Astra GTE) to get the colour changed on it (e.g From orange to blue). Was wondeing if anyone knew, or has done something similar with their S?
That would be insane! Do you recall if there are any pics floating around on the net of this done?
I'd like to just see how it came out. I like the red/amber color...but blue would so match the Suzuka blue exterior and blue interior better

Without having yet looked at the guts of a dash, I'm going to go out on a limb and say changing the color should be child's play if you know anything about electronics.
Usually on digital dashes it is fairly as simple as replacing a bulb, although some of them get their color from tinted films rather than bulbs. My Z is one of the latter.
Should just be a matter of matching bulb size, wattage, etc, and picking your color.
I would suggest against it though, since most digital dashes are designed using a certain color because it achieves the highest rate of daytime visibility for that application. Blue and green colors are notoriously difficult to see in bright sunlight, closely followed by red.
Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Sweet, blue would match my Alpine! As far as colors being better to see during the day. I had a C4 Corvette years ago, and I could not see crap driving into the sun liught, and it was orange. So, I don't like digital dashes anyway, I wish they made a regular guage dash, but, they made it to look like a Formula 1 car. I guess that way we can chase cops with their lights on and pretend they are pace cars! Not a good idea by the way.
But yes, I will look on S2KI.com and check it out for myself. Thanks.

You are correct on that one. McGyver has been developing this kit for a while now. I'm pretty sure it's for sale, but I think it's like 500 something bucks. If you got the cash, I guess it's cool, but that is way too much money for me.
Look it up on S2ki, it looks pretty cool.
