Default New dude looking for F23B

Good day all !
I'm building a Gen 5 Honda Accord Wagon and am trying to source an F23B (2.3L SOHC VTEC). Corrcet me if that is wrong.
I'm still trying to find a wagon in good shape (have the $$) but figure I'll get started on the engine while I wait for one.
I've tried most engine sites and e-bay but can't seem to locate one?
Anyone here know where I can find these?

Shout out to my boy JDMCRX. (After what happened, I'm sleeving my block for sure Josh!)
Oh and everyone, please talk him out of selling his EL and buying a Denali.

Actually I think your looking for a F23A1 or a F23A4 if you want a 2.3L SOHC VTEC. But since your looking for a 5th gen Accord Wagon you could always look for a F22B1 which is a 2.2L SOHC VTEC, just an option.

I don't know how easy it's going to be to find a F23A but I know eBay has some F22B1 up quite often. You should be able to find either one at a junkyard. Try http://www.Car-Parts.com Its an online list of junkyards and the parts they have. Maybe there is something local to you.

Also, once you become a full member you can try posting a WTB thread in the Classified Forum and see if anyone has anything. You can go search in there but you don't see to many people selling these motors, but it's worth a shot.

why not sleeve and build a the f22b1 that should come in a 5th gen EX wagon?

if not im sure you can get an f23a1 or a4 out of a 6th gen north american market accord more easily.

I'll have to look around and compare prices !
I'll have to see what I can find.
I've heard that the F23B responds quite well to turbo applications.
I think it is JDM, but I'm not 100% certain.

if you want a 5th gen wagon definately go with an f22b1 because you can find one thats ODB1 and the f22b1 comes with iron sleeves so you don't need to resleeve it to run forged pistons or run 15-20lbs of boost. The f22 responds really well to boost and makes alot of torque.

I thought you had to sleeve a F22B1 just like stated above.

The F series including the stock 5th gen F22 are great for turbo. And nope, the F22 doesn't need to be resleeved for any sane amount of boost and forged pistons. I'd suggest the F22 myself, a lot cheaper and not much lost at all.

sleeves are not NEEDED, but if you are gonna go all out might as well do it then.

Well, I'm not going turbo or anything. Just going for a good all motor build that will produce some pretty good numbers. No nitrous and no turbo, all motor. What do you think?
