changing timing belt 98-02 accord
HAs anyone ever changed a timing belt on 98-02 accord. Mine is a 1998 accord 4cyl f23 engine. Is this very hard? I found a website that explains some things but does not specfically cover my year .

I haven't changed a timing belt on a 6 gen Accord but I can't see how much different it would be than say a 5 gen Accord F22. They should be pretty similar. I would just read on some problems people have had doing timing belts on there Accords (we all know there are a lot of posts about it). It may not be exactly the same but it should be close enough to give you a good idea. With that info and a Helms manual you should be alright.

I have changed the t-belt in the '88 for the second time, recently, the WP for the first. It was leaking and noisy and should be changed anyway whilst one is in the area..
This was fairly EZ, the working space is fine for a midget with tiny, tiny hands, otherwise, I'd say a 2 to 3 hour job under good conditions..
I changed the tensioner at 160K, this was so EZ, a blind man could do it !!
Changing a broken belt, however is a bit of a bear (very costly for many autos)...
