Default does obd1 cat have 1 o2 sensor

I have a 95 gsr. OBD1. I have the comptech header and catback exhaust.

I want to get a new high flow cat.
Me and dave at smsp cant figure out if the cat has just 1 whole for an o2 sensor or if there are 2....?

any guesses?

thanks

OBDI cars only have 1 o2 sensor. The sensor is not in the converter. The sensor is located in the down pipe before the converter.

what downpipe are you talking about?

The cat bolts directly into the header

there's 2 parts to the header. the part thats directly connected to your engine is the collectors, from there its bolted to a y down pipe. on most obd-1 engines the o2 sensor is located in the bottom of the collector, or it coul be located on the down pipe between the cat and engine.

I have a 94' GS-R and there is only one sensor and it is located on the front portion of the cat itself, not the collector or anywhere else on the header. I am absolutely posotive of this. HTH.

and then there's the crazy GSR.. Like Nugget said, it's right before the cat body, but still considered 'on the cat'.. *Usually* it's like u said, on the 'downpipe' like sohc civics, or right before the collector..
