Whenever I do my oil change, there is only about 3 quarts, maybe a lil bit less. I change my oil every 3000-4000 miles. I check my oil level 3 times a week and it is at the right level, between the upper and lower hole. I turn off the car and let it sit for 10-15 mins then check. my car isnt smoking so no burning and its not leaking?

anyone know why its like this?
This is also how my dads accord is too and it doesnt have leaks or burn any oil

 

Is your car on an incline?

 

There is going to be some oil in the filter, and it is not uncommon for an engine to burn some oil between changes. It burns such a small amount at a time that you will not see any smoke.

 

no its not on an incline, i lower it once the drain bolt and oil filter is off to make sure eveyrthing drains

 

do you know what a dipstick is? use it to measure how much oil you have or use...good luck
