Default Need Susp. Help...

Ok first off i am a total newb with suspention parts. Look i cant even spell it right. OK for the last month or so my cars front suspenion has been acting werd. I think its the ball joints but i could be wrong. When i hit the accel its like the whole front end shifts to the right and then when i let off it goes back into place. Also it has fucked up my 2 month old tire, which i waited to long to take off and put the steelies back on. But the thing is i dont really know where the ball joints are. I think that they are the ones cirlced in red but, i was also thinking it was the things in yellow?

OK so if you guys think that its the balljoints are they hard to take out and replace or do you think i should bring it in to a place and get them done? also are they expensive?

Here is what it has been doing to my tires. Can you tell which was on the back and which was on the front? ha i can

red= balljoint. ball joint looks fine. i suggest you put a cotter pin in that castle nut at the bottom.

as for you tire wear, youll need an alignment.

Did you hit something recently therefore this sideway motion is happening?

Better yet when was the last time you got an alignment?

there is another ball joint at the top. it connect the upper control arm (UCA) to the spindal arm (the only thing from your brakes that goes up. and then another for your steering arm also.

sounds to me like you got a busted rear motor mount. pop the hood and then rev the motor if the motor moves forward and back then its a bad rear mount. and if thats bad chances are so are your front TQ mounts

How would an engine mount cause that ****?
It wouldent......
Sideways motion is caused by an off alignment in my opinion. shaking engine could be a motor mount but more likely alignment issures. imo and from experience.....

Secondly to check your ball joints jack up the car and with the wheal on rock the tire up and down and look for movement on the ball joint, it should be solid. if its not try tighting it up a bit and try again and put a cotter pin in there to keep it from losening up again. You may need to use a pry bar to put tension on the ball joint to get it tight, Theres one on the top as well you should check as well looks exactly the same just upside down in perspective. And you will need an alignment to get rid of that un-even tire wear......
