That's at 30% Light Transmission.

I got it stripped and retinted at 35% ~ I wish I had it doen darker. NC was very **** about that and CA is not.

 

Same tint level, just looks darker because of the angle...

35% is the darkest legal tint allowed, correct?

 

It depends on the State. Here in VA, it's 50% and in Colorado, it's 35%.

 

In california not window tint on the front side door windows or the windsheild is allowed. The rear sides and rear window you can have whatever % tint I think.

 

In Mich, you can have NO TINT on the front windows. I had 18% on for a year and a half with out any probs... then i got 2 tickets in 2 days

I've got 20% on a PY. Kinda dark but I don't think I would cahnge it. Love the privacy. Totally illegal here in Chicago.

I have 35% on my CW.

Cops don't bother much with 35% around here.

When taking pictures, 35% comes out dark under direct sunlight and very light under artificial lighting(or indirect sunlight).

Definitely get a tint. Aside from keeping your interior cooler, adding a bit of privacy and just looking nice, it will also protect your interior from damaging ultraviotet light, be safer in a side impact and make it harder for theives break into the car by smashing the window since they're not laminated.

 

If you tint your front windows, don't tint the back ones too dark or the front ones will "look" darker than what they really are (you'll get hassled by the cops).
