this isn't for my car but a friend of mines. She asked if I could fix it and before I look at it i want to know what to look for.

the car is a 91 prelude si. her problem is that the stereo only works when the key is in the ACC position, but in the on position the stereo doesn't get any power. I was wanting to know what to look for when i try to fix it. I'm assuming a fuse, a short, or something with the ignition.

I think you were right assuming that it was a fuse.
If it is then your lucky since that is a quick fix.
Although i do remember hearing about an ignition switch re-call for the prelude.
I dont know if it was for her year prelude or if that would cause the sterio not to
work but it might be worth checkin out.

 

well i checked it out and there weren't any blown fuses. what else would you guys recommend i check?
