Hello you all, I have a question about my shifter.
I drive a 2000 civic si, and once in a while is hard to
shift to 1st gear and I usually have to go into 2nd then
back to 1st. And it seems going through 1st-2nd-3rd is a bit stiff too,
well at least compare to friends car.

Any help would be appreicated.

a lot of cars do that. my friends does the 1st gear thing. when i drive it I always have to throw it into 2nd, ..into netural for a fraction of a sec and then to first.

Also.....reverse always is hard to get in..and it grinds sometimes. I posted up here and a guy told me I should throw it in 5th, neutral and then reverse. he had like 3 thousand post...and i just do that all the time...it works. i think it has to do with the linkage. i dont know what you mean by stiff?
