lets see who knows
I bet nobody can give me an answer, because no mechanics can give me an answer.
situation, gas mileage on the freeway, normal (250-300 full tank)
city driving LOL (a ridiculous 125-175 mileage)
mods on my car (catback exhaust, sri)
95 ls auto (yea auto)
no more stick for nyc
whats done to the car - (complete tune-up, new o2 sensor, changed all fluids.)
car runs great!
now who can help answer my question as to why I get decent hiway mileage, but extremely POOR city miles?

your city is always supposed to be lower than the highway, that just how it is, there's nothing wrong with your car at all.. even stock most hondas are 31mpg highway and 25mpg city..
but even yours sounds a bit on the low side, how's the temperature runnin?

temp is fine, even @ 25 mpg, does not come near to what I should get.

Easy answer: Stop and Go traffic. Especially if you're in bad traffic every day. We pollute and waste the most gas in stop and go city traffic.
do you find yourself flooring the pedal around town alot? if so, then that would explain it. alsoif you sit in traffic you are still burning gas and not moving,
being heavy foot would kill your milage.

1. You drive auto
2. Auto have less HP than regular tegs, now if you have the A/C on you lose a bit of power and when you mash it you mash it harder making it consume more gas.
3. Stop and go traffic kills MPG
Frankly I think it maybe a combination of all

You might be spending a lot of gas in the torque converter. It could be on its way out.
I drive stop and go during my commute (lotsa stop signs and lead foot starts) and
get at least 200+ miles per tank.
Though, the difference between 200 and 150 could just be the difference between
manual and automatic....*shrug*

Jesus christ dude....you ask the same question again and again.....even though the answer has been posted 3 times...yes city driving SUCKS. Stop and go traffic WILL leave you with absolutely horrible gas mileage. You're using more gas to accelerate and get the car moving...over and over again.
Please don't be like... "no really...what is it?"...because that's the answer....staring you in the face for the 4th time.

you have to record how much gas you fill up for those miles.
125 miles on a completely empty take might be like 10 mpg, but if he only had to fill up 8 gallons Thats a more reasonable 15mpg.

what kind of gas are you using? I used diffrent octane levels and had less mileage the lower the octane, I drive about 3-- miles a week. I get by on 1 tank..when I used to work in DTLA I would use alot more gas and it was only a 200 mile weekly commute. stop and go is you problem, along with I'm guessing cheap gas.

I used 89 and 92
when I use 89, I get a tad better on mileage, but my motor knocks, when I use premium, mileage is poor but there is no knocks, so I just stick with the premium.
