how to change the tranny oil properly
well i kind of know how to change the fluid, but i was just curious about making sure it is full because if i have jackstands under the car, the car is slanted and the fluid won't fill properly. but if i leave it flat i can't get to the filler plug, can someone help me please, thanks
You could do 1 of 3 things:
1) buy another set of jack stands or jack the car up from the back, so that the rear tow hook is on the jack and the front is up on jack stands and the entire car is parallel to the ground
2) take the jackstands out, and carefully lower your car on your jack until it is holding it level
3) Put the tire back on, tighten the drain bolt and fill bolt, and put approximately 2.3 quarts of tranny fluid through the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) hole.
