Default LS/Vtec piston questions

I am in the middle of building an ls/vtec. I just blew the rings in the stock b18b1 bottom end, and i am unsure what kind of pistons to put in it. I am thinking about turbo for the future, and i know that low compression is a good way to go for that, but i want to go n/a right now. I have the head fully built(ported and polished, springs, retainers, cams, valves, ect.), and the only thing i have left to buy for the bottom end is the pistons, wrists, and rings. The block has been tanked and honed and i am not intrested in doing oversized or sleeving yet. Does anyone have any suggestions on what is should run, and are a really high compression pistons good to run as a daily driver?
