Light crank pulley with turbo.
When I was running my car NA, I had an Unorth. Racing crank pulley on it. After I turbo'd the car I left the underdrive pulley on there, but now that I'm rebuilding with forged internals and I'm putting it back together, I'm thinking about throwing the stock crank pulley back on there. I think I read a long time ago that the turbo will spool quicker with the stock pulley because it feeds off the resistance. Is this true?
If so I'll definitely go for it since I'm running a T3 and before rebuild the quickest it ever spooled up was around 37 to 3900, and I was hoping for boost around 3000-3200.

In my opinion, I dont think it would make that much of a difference, the change of weight would not be significant enough to warrant that much of a change. I AM NOT saying it wouldn't help. But I think you would notice more of a difference between lets say, a lightend flywheel vs stock.

Cool. Well, either way it doesn't matter. I like the unorthodox pulley. When I was running NA I gained almost 3 tenths in the 1/4 mile with it. The difference in weight is around 4 lbs I think, which is fairly significant when running NA. I'm moving soon and I don't feel like blowing it up, even tho that shouldn't happen with forged internals, so I'm just looking for little secrets to maybe make it a bit quicker while on low boost.
