Question about audio system in 2004 Honda Accord EX models
Hi y'all,
I'm just wondering if it's possible to play CD-RW discs in the 2004 Accord In-dash 6-CD changer. Honda's MP3 cd player doesn't display title/artist information in dash. The built-in cd changer doesn't seem to play CDR with CD-Text either. Is it just me or Honda's factory audio system sucks so much it still uses early 90s' technology?
Is it also true that you'll have to give up built-in XM if you want to add an after market mp3 cd player in the "CD holder" place?
I'm about to buy a 2004 Accord EX V6... but man... Its audio system sucks!
Let me know what y'all think.

well this would make the most sense. i don't even know for sure but if you had asked me i would say that yes...you will lose the xm. the xm reciever is built into the cd player/station changer/etc. it would be like having an cd changer in the car and taking it out but questioning if you would lose the cd playing capability. i don't think the xm is actually "built in" as in built into the basic infrastructure of the car...but rather the stock cd player has xm capability.
i can't answer you aobut the mp3 capability. i'd say not to worry about losing the xm thought because if you're takeing out the stock cd player and replacing it, the new one will probably have xm capability as most nowadays do. you can probably just have it switched over to the new reciever. if you are getting a new cd player, go alpine.
