I have a quick question. I own a 99 Acura CL 2.3. The aftermarket parts are scarce for this particular vehicle unless you puchase parts from an Accord since they both share the F23 motor.

My real question is: Is the exhaust route on the CL 2.3 the same as any of the Accords or Preludes? Any advice would be much thankful.

I have seen one or two Cl owners with h22 swaps in here, but they don't post very often.

You could also check the illustrated parts breakdowns on http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com and http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.com and compare the routing of the exhuasts on the models in question.

although i dont know for sure, i was always under the impression that the CL was a rebadged accord coupe, so its exhaust routing would be the same.

which isn't saying much since the accord platform is derived from the prelude platform, lol, but my point is i'm 90% sure it's the same as an accord coupe.

i'll get you an e-beer if i'm wrong though

 

I was thinking the same thing about the Accord coupe as well. But, somebody told me that the coupe only comes in a V6. Is this true, or is there a 4 cylinder as well? If there is, I'm quite sure that they're identicle. Thanks for the info.

I think most, if not all, Accord parts will fit the CL. Check out the forums at Acura-CL.com..it'll help you a LOT.

BTW, I will soon be one of those h22 CLs..heh.

 

the cl in my opinion was the accord coupe with differnt badging. I'd consult the local performance shop about the routing and see if that is the same if not the clearance issues are goign to be different.
