Default How do I pre-determine a certain offset will clear my calipers before purchasing them?

I am looking to get some wheels (Volk CE28N) with these specs.

16x7 +35mm offset 5x114.3

I know I would be fine with the 42mm offset which everyone seems to run but I am trying to induce the webbed spoke look and I dont want to purchase wheels that wont fit over my calipers. Currently I am running a 5 lug ctr set up on my EM1 and I would appreciate any positive feedback, measuring techniques or so for the car.

I also will be purchasing spoon calipers as well when I pick the wheels up so I just want to make sure everything is going to work in harmony.
