Was in the first wreck of my life yesterday, a frightening expirence for sure, thought it was more angering than anything.

Went to the local Eckards with my Mom to pick up a few things, drop off a subscription for some medicine, etc..Well, we went back to Ekcards later that day to pick up said subscription, and my Mom just runs in and has me park her car, a beautifully kept '03 Nissan Altima. Now, I find a space thats just easily backed into, so I go to do it. Clear atleast 6 spaces on either side, sinc eit was around the back of the store.
WEll, about as my back door is fully into the space, I see a VERY large white ford Truck, with a solid steel rear bumber, backing towards me (Keep in mind, there were near 0 cars around when Is tarted backing up--The guy had gone through the drive through a few moments before, and shouldn't even of been aorund to that side of the building-Info from Store MAnager who witnessed the incident on the cameras). Now, not a big deal usually, right? Get into the parking space and let him just drive by, except for the fact that he was backing up inside of the white lines, across parking spaces. So I stopped, so that if he did hit me it'd be his fault, and start honking my horn in hopes he doesn't.
All of this effort is to no avail however, as he backs his passenger side rear bumper into me (The one closes to the curb, and the rear of my car), heavily damaging the rear quater panel on my passenger side. AFter all of this, he just drives off as if nothing happened, and well, the crunch was loud, I yelled at him, his truck shook about as bad as the Altima he just hit..So he had to know he hit something.
Well, I said "**** it, he's gone, I'm callin the cops" and go to back into the parking space all the way, which is when I first begin to realize the extent of the damage to my MOm's beautiful car. The Quarter PAnel he hit is bent in a way, so that it is digging deeply into the tire--so much so that if you were to drive it, it'd pop the tire, easily..
I proceed to go inside and tell my Mom what happened, store calls the cops for us, etc...All in all the cop said that it was indeed his fault even if he stayed, and he would put out an apb on said truck, etc....No word yet..

 

It is these kind of drivers that really **** me off. Now im not sure where you live but here in colorado I'm fairly certain that we have some of the worst drivers in the state. The same sort of thing happened to my dad in his brand new 2002 accord ex a few years back. Except he was in line to pay for parking on the way out of the airport and when he honked his horn the lady in the lexus suv stopped, paused, and then proceeded to back up onto the hood of the car. Unfortuneatly for us we live in a no fault state, and the lady was found only 30% at fault for backing up into a stopped car.

p.s. I hope they catch the ******* that did this to you

I'm wondering WTF is wrong with you, that you saw a truck backing near your car, let it hit your car and let him drive away without chasing him? ???!

maybe the reason was in his original post:

good luck catching that ******!!! i live in a hick town where most every body drives some chevy truck with straight pipes and altezzas and think there hot ****.

Yup, I know what you mean! ******* hicks!!!

 

Yeah, the camera's got his plates, and he just filled out a subscription, so the Eckerds has his name, address, phone number, etc..Which got passed onto the police. The cop said he would definately be following up on it...But yes, I let him hit my Mom's car and drive away, since I'd rather let the cops handle it and still have been able to get the car home (yay limping it at 3 mph all the way home)

Ahhhhhhhhhh!!!!! make sure that ****** gets what he deserves!!!!!! My brother was involved in a hit and run, but he wasn't as lucky as you, totled his car and the ****** got away, at least it was only a Cavalier my bro was driving. LoL
