I know that Fram filters are not good, but they are easy to find and cheap (~ $3).

What is a good oil filter (not Fram) that I can buy for $5 or under, individually or in bulk?

My local Honda dealer charges $6.41 each (before tax), with no bulk discount, so any other source would need to be cheaper than that.

Be safe and go with Honda OEM if there are any doubts about aftermarket quality. You are only talking about a buck or two every few months or so. What's up with the need for bulk?

Bad things I have heard about Fram filters; yet I have used them along with Purolator for over 30 years without ever having a problem.. I recall a price of around 2 to 3 dollars, so if you factor in inflation, anything less than 10 dollars is not too bad.
VW and Mercedes men recommend the German brands.. Yet the one for a 300D is assembled in one of the Asian countries..
