Hazard Light Problem
After taking the dash apart while changing out a cd player, my hazard lights do not work properly on my 1997 Accord EX upon reassembly. I can press the button in, and when I hold it the hazards work, but as soon as I release it, they cease working. It will not click on and off like it is supposed to. Any ideas if it is the actual button, or some relay or switch?
Sounds like you messed up something when you took it out.
The plug on the back of it is kind of tricky, I messed mine up when I first got my '99 Accord and was putting in a CD changer (in October '98). The price for a new on back then was ~ $20. But yes, take it apart again and look at it carefully.
By the way, when you are removing it, a trick to help prevent scratching your dash is to wrap some masking tape around your flathead screwdriver's blade first.
