YOU! Turbo Charge My Type R!
Hello everyone in the world of Type R's. I have an assignment for you. In the very near future, I'll be turbo charging my Type R. I'm a bit unfamiliar with who is making kits or what out there, so I need your help on what you would recommend.
I would like to make a minimum of 350hp at the wheels. This is easily doable.
Here is a list of the parts that will be bolted on with the the turbo system:
Jun stage 3 cams
Rocket Motors dual valve springs
Rocket Motors titanium retainers
ST Corsa cam gears
Toda 1mm head gasket
Unorthodox pulley set
**ported and polished head
**match ported intake and exhaust manafolds
King Motorsports big bore throttle body
**sleeved block
MSD Ignition-full components
RC 650 injectors
AEM fuel rail
Spoon low temp thermostat
Spoon low temp fan switch
Fluidyne radiator
Spoon radiator hose kit
Spoon radiator cap
Maradyne dual radiator fan
**ECU tuning with Uberdata
All this **** is sitting in my house, collecting dust. I would like all of it in my car within the next two weeks. There is some stuff I'm sure I left out of the list, but I'm looking for the most effcient, complete turbo kit.
Your suggestions will be greatly appreciated. I'll post before and after dyno results when I get it all in.
Thanks a ton for all your help

FWIW, Honda-Tech member Hypetune-Mark runs Toda Cs with his $$$$ turbo setup (IHI RX6 TCW77 turbo, Motec M4 PRO, HKS 1000cc injectors, OS Giken Pistons/Rods, OS Giken Twin Plate Clutch, stock B16A block)
http://www.hypertune.com.au/civic/

If you look here, you will find an ITR built by the tuning firm Cruise Power Craft (i think that's the right name); anyways, it has Jun pistons/rods AND Jun 2 cams
http://www.motor-land.net/mtld/dbview.cgi?uid=261

So it is possible? Yes, but you better be prepared to spend mega-bux

Sure it's possible, but it's completely pointless. Why waste money on big cams when ITR cams have been proven to make over 600 whp.

Bold are parts, imo, that could be left stock on a 350 hp turbo ITR build.
I think you should search a lot, and lurk here and in the FI forum, before you ask others to give you all the answers.

Anythings possible. To lengthen your mods list maybe? To be different maybe?
The cams in this setup are just a waste of time and money if you ask me...... I would spend my money more wisely elsewhere.

i think you would be better off in the long run going with lower compression forged pistons and either crower or eagle rods. maybe even an intank fuel pump. alot of those parts you dont really need you can sell and get an awesome manifold and a good sized downpipe and exhaust.

stock will not do.. stock will work only if you plan on reving to the stock redline.

with stage 3 cams and raising redline stock will not do, however, while turbocharged, you don't need to rev that high.. stock can go up to 9K

youre sorta on the right track but you need to study up some more to understand how things work and what would be used and shouldnt be used when delving into the darkside...

To give you an idea of what's needed when turboing an R you might want to look at this link: http://kvien.no/integra/boost/budsjett.html
Some of the parts might be overkill for a 350whp setup, but you get the general idea.
