Default Best Intake 2001 GSR

What's the best intake for the 2001 gsr? I've got some money to spend and I'm looking to do so, price is not a problem performance is a concern.
thanx

Best intake for price?

In my opinion, get a Skunk2 manifold, then buy a J's Racing, Done deal

Guaranteed to outperform AEM or Injen BS.

yeah its a tube with a filter... you could save yerself some cash and just buy an ebay special with the tubing size you want and buy a K&N filter to shove on it and get pretty comparable performance.

if you want somthing to keep quiet, get an icebox (closed filter desing) <mugen/comptech

if you dont care about noise, get a sri or a cai, either one. but its really going to come down to maybe 1 hp, so get a generic intake and a good filter.

Dont spend more than 100 dollars on an intake. Its just a plain 2.5" alum pipe and a filter. There is nothing special about it. Some people can argue that brand X and brand Y have better "filter designs" and you can get 1.5 horsepower more but for 250 bucks more. My vote goes for a simple K&N filter then spend the extra money on the Skunk2 Type-R Intake Mani. Thats what I did and i likey a lot. Good luck.

uhm, i don't think replacing the filter really does anything.. maybe a little better in gas mileage.

okay, well changing the air filter is good, a little better air flow and all, but there's not going to be any gain in horse power. If you get a new intake arm and put in that new air filter, then you'll feel a slight change in power. Or get the icebox and keep the stock arm.

but instead you just leave your point as uncredible =P just say "you're wrong man, it makes a difference" because most of us know it does.

i would NOT spend over 200 on just an intake. i would get an ebay cold air or short ram.

lik -dkap- said intakes dont make much of a difference at all it just complest the i/h/e for good air flow, if your not in an area that rains alot get a cold air intake, if not get a short ram intake, ebay is actually a good idea, buy a 20 dollar intake and just buy a different filter, whats the difference its a metal pipe, some people actually make there own intakes from home depo, if anyone spends almost 700 on an intake thats disgusting (jping yall ) but really 600 bucks ... get another 1700 and u pretty much got a turbo kit, whats better turbo or intake?
