need help so i can race this weekend!
ok i need help with a battery kill switch i relocated my battery to the trunk and the local race's wont let me race untill i put a battery kill switch on my car, my frined was gonna help me do it but he went out of state for awhile. he did get me an "300 amp battery isolator switch" it has a key. so can anyone help me with this? pics would help alot! because i dont have a good understanding of electrical work but i wanna race. please help
It's more difficult than that, most tracks require you to sit at 3000 rpms and then kill it. They do this because they know the alternator will still run it. So you have to wire the alternator and the battery to a kill. You might want to check the drag racing forum.
well i know that they dont check the alternator so is there a way to do the kill switch just to the battery??? i know they dont make you "test" the kill switch cuz people started to complain because there radio/clock would reset so they just look at the switch and how it is hooked up
Check out the search function.
Here is a small number of results for "kill switch" that should help you get started:

If they don't test it, what difference does it make if you have it? Why not just tape it to the hood and call it a day?
