Default swap help please

Ok i have a really weird problem.. The motor is a fresh b18a into a 90 teg. there was another motor in and blah blah .. so any ways we get the A in, get it running but im throwing 2 codes, IACV and MAP. I redo the vacum and clear the MAP and then i redo the IACV and check the wiring, clean it out and all this .. start the car again but its still throwing the code, so I unplug the ecu to clear the memory, plug it back in and now the car wont start. The check engine light comes on and wont go off but its not throwing any codes. If I unplug the ecu and plug it back then turn the key to acc the check engine light will go you with no problem, but then when i crank it and turn the car off then turn back to acc the light doesnt go out with no codes. some one help me out please.. any ideas are appreciated.. the ecu was not tampered with and this is the first time it has been pulled out ever. Thanks!!!!!

You plug the ECU in with the battery still connected?
