Fuel Pump, how in the fuck ????
how the hell do i remove the ******* fuel pump on a 90 civic si, i need some instructions or like step by step something with pictures im sick of this thing and i cant seem to figure out how to get it out thanx
just FYI, you do not HAVE to drop the entire tank. I chose to drop it eventually to get a better idea of how to get the new pump and filter in better. Try to also use all the gas out of the tank. I did mine when the tank was still half full. no a big painIntheass, but wasn't helping any. If you are using a high flow Walbro or the such, make sure you have the right conversion harness. Hope this helped.

Check your tank straps before you take it down, you may need to invest in new ones due to rust. I've seen some break when they are opened for the first time. Use a bunch of WD40 or BG.

Just put an old rim under the middle of the tank, drop it down and take the pump out. It is in a very crap location, but they are "somewhat" easy to do.

I received mine from LM and gambled on the correct pump. What I received(at the time I took out the pump from the tank) was that the wiring was different. One call to LM, and they sent out a plug that fit the pump corredctly. Differences being the from the 92-? and the 88-91.

when putting back up your tank use a jack and a piece of wood and it'll get it right into place
otherwise your gona be there for like 3 hours and 20 mins(atleast i was) trying to hold up the tank and put the bolts in at the same time.

fuel tank removal + PAIN IN THE ***. Its just kinda time consuming. follow the directions out of the manual in that post above. Its really pretty damn easy, but like i said, kinda time consuming
I replaced a fuel pump in my EG hatch last week, this job= no fun. I used an old fuel pump that I had in the garage to empty my gas tank. I used a battry booster & hooked the old fuel pump to it, then ran a line into the gas tank & another into a 5 gallon gas jug & let it run til the tank was empty. then I dropped the tank & swapped pumps & reverse. Like stated, use something to hold up the tank when you are reinstalling it.
