quick timing belt question
I have done a timing/balancer belt and water pump install on a 92 honda accord and a 95 accord. I'm about to do it on a 97 prelude. It is almost identical to those previous cars i've worked on right? except for the auto tensioner which I'm going to change to manual anyways. Just want to make sure I can handle the job. Also, I'm an idiot and am only charging my friend $100. U guys think that's way too cheap? o yea.. with that, it includes changing front brake pads too.
thats cheap, its still kinda a pain with the 2 cams and getting them to line up...also the balancer belt reference points are hard to get a good look at, but i can do my timing belt now i 1.5 hrs...ive done it now about 6 times..lol...peace
damn.. 1.5 hrs? take me the whole cacin day. but i have shitty tools though
So anyways, back to the question, a prelude and accord are literally identical right? when it comes to timing belt change? thansk

yes.. i already ordered the parts.
so.... is a prelude timing belt and balancer shaft belt change identical to a accord with the exception of the tensioner?

yep same exact thing on the balancer, and the timign belt, all uneed to do more, is to line up both cams to TDC, and the rest is same as so sohc engine. Don't worry you sound like you can pull it off no problem, the only thing you should kick ureslf in the *** for is only charging 100 bucks,
