Default Vehicle Speed Sensor CEL

I'm getting a CEL code that says my VSS is malfunctioning on my 98 honda prelude sport shift base. I had 18" wheels which are now removed and the stockers are on. I'm lowered on neuspeed sports, no camber kit (i'm working on this), stock dampers, and that's it. The ECL came on while the 18" wheels were on, so........I don't know if the larger diameter wheels messed up my transmission or just blew out my VSS and now I need to replace. Can anyone help me out on this one???
Since it has been on, of course the drive indicator light flashes and I've looked at everything in the helms and my conclusion is that I should replace it because I don't have a tester to see if it's bad or not.
Any suggestions or tips or experience with this with any honda would be a big help. Thanks to all!!!

I've searched and the info is helpful but I need to know if there are any differences with the prelude?
