Default Bought New Drums for the 88, but they wont go on

I made a trip to the parts store today to get some quick boots and drums and shoes.

My man at the parts store gave me the Wearever Drums Part #YH140474 which is the what the 88 calls for http://www.partsamerica.com/Se...=Drum however they dont seem to fit right! It seems to me that maybe the guy running the CNC machine didnt put in the correct offset? I dont know if anyone else has ran into trouble with this or not.

We looked into it and basically all the civics and crx's use this drum, except i believe it was the hf in 89 that used a different one? (Might be wrong on that)

So my question to everyone is has anyone had any trouble with buying drums before? It seems rather odd to me since its a pretty simple design.

I think im going to have him order up some from a different company maybe ill go with the cheap raybestos ones...im kinda lost here.

And also btw i did purchase 2 of the drums and neither of the new ones fit on either side, although the originals can be swapped so i dont think anything is bent?

Almost forgot does anyone know the size of the bolt that hooks up from the stock header to the stock cat? Can i just basically use any bolt that will fit? My old ones are rusted to all hell so im just gonna cut those bitches right in the middle....hopefully i can get them to slip out each end other than that i might have to drill them out.

Nothing frigen goes right when i try to do any work on the crx.

Have you tried adjusting the brakes?

when you put the new shoes did you adjust the manual adjuster or leave it at the same spot as it was with the old shoes? you have to adjust it down or it will not work, it's like putting on new pads and not compressing the calipers in the front.

no u must have misunderstood me.....Im trying to say that the drum itself dont fit on the hub bolts at all...nothing to do with the shoes havent even touched them yet. The holes on the drum dont seem to line up right it should just slide right on.

If the wheel studs dont line up with the holes you got the wrong part.

does it look different then the drum that came off. If not maybe you just need to use more elbo grease.
